2025-07-07 There's a kind of 'openness' in top tier comic book pros with their story telling, both in art and writing, that is noticeable compared to the indies. The independent creator wants to cram as much information, or wants to make his or her quirks and individual tastes run the show.

2025-05-26 At first, when I read part 1 I thought we would get into a sort of large mob scene of the central subject of the story. For those who are unfamiliar with Colin's concept, about 80% of the world's population suddenly drops everything they're doing in order to get to a point exactly "33 degrees, 3 minutes, 5.8 seconds North by 96 degrees, 40 minutes 8.8 seconds West" which is ground zero, fairly close to Dallas, Texas.

2025-05-12 You cannot read a Lees/Cormac story without it leaving a mark on you. In this case, they've tried a different tack, and put together two stories that existed outside in their previously published issues 12 and 13 of the Sink series. A curious decision for sure, but here it works.

2025-05-05 I re-read Frank Martin's series today. The summary of this story is split into two halves...

2025-04-28 The story begins with a young man in Chicago whose father runs away. Later on his mother passes away. The young man, Vananka, decides to just wander off, and so he finds his way in the American Southwest, stumbling onto an old desert farm house with a blind Indian boy, the wise old Indian sage, and a beautiful woman named Leila.

2025-04-21 A small-town nobody named Mané travels to the big city to enroll in a martial arts school to compete in a boxing type of sport known as 'Pankat' which by the way was the original title of this book.

2025-04-07 I had high expectations opening these up. There was very elegant and well-crafted binding, the presentation with the hard covers and rounded edges really showed the writer/artist 'Fane and the colorist Isabelle Rabarot put out their very best attempt at a classic.

2024-12-09 Claptrap is an amalgam of satirical riffs on popular culture. For those who remember old Mad magazine from a ways back... the days of funny whacked-out viewpoints mimicking high art or popular TV shows and movies this is a re-rendition of that craft.
